The community at Wikidot is limited to specific people and editors with a specialization or expertise and can build a reputation by the continuous efforts. All articles and pages on Wikidot are protected to provide verified encyclopedic content by controlling the substandard edits by all users without areas of specialization.
Unlike Wikipedia, we believe that a page cannot be only negative or filled with controversial content, where only hate crime content is highlighted and not the positive.

Building an advanced and modern encyclopedia

Wikidot believes in building a modern and advanced Encyclopedia that allows multimedia content such as videos, interviews of the subject in the mainspace. For us, news video is also as notable as any text news, the reliable news sources does not necessarily needs to be in a textual form.
